Information on handling Treated Lumber

CCA treated lumber (chromated copper arsenate) was removed from the market in 2004 due to possible health concerns pertaining to the CCA compound.

The CCA lumber was generally replaced by ACQ treated lumber, (Alkaline Copper Quaternary) compound as a wood perservative.

The link below contains valuable information concerning the safe handling of treated lumber. Please download the PDF for information concerning handling both CCA and ACQ lumber during and after construction.
